Golden rice on the hills of Mu Cang Chai
From the end of August to early October 2026, Mu Cang Chai in northern Vietnam held its Golden Season Festival.
Every autumn, the rice in Mu Cang Chai turns gold. This year, Mu Cang Chai held its Golden Season Festival. The festival began at the end of August 2026. It went on until early October.
Mu Cang Chai is in the mountains of northern Vietnam. It is part of Lao Cai province. There, rice grows on very steep hills. The fields look like giant steps. These fields are called terraced fields.
